Candle Safety Tips for the Holidays🎄🎅🏾🎊🎁

Candle Safety Tips for the Holidays🎄🎅🏾🎊🎁

“Keep the vibes cozy—not crispy!”

The holiday season is all about gathering with loved ones, decking the halls, and filling your space with cozy vibes (and delicious scents). At TAP Candle Company, we want to help you create those magical moments safely. Here’s a quick guide to keeping your home and memories lit—but never aflame—this holiday season!

1. Place Candles Wisely

Always keep your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Love the aesthetic of greenery and garlands? Same here—but flammable décor is a no-no near your candle.

2. The 3-Foot Rule

Candles and flammable items should have a solid three feet of distance. That includes curtains, blankets, and holiday sweaters hanging off the couch!

 3. Trim That Wick

Keep your candle wick trimmed to 1/4 inch before each burn. A longer wick = bigger flame = increased risk. Plus, trimming helps your candle burn cleaner and last longer.

 4. Never Leave a Candle Unattended

It’s tempting to let your TAP Candle burn while you’re multitasking, but safety first! Always extinguish it when you leave the room or head to bed. (And no, blowing it out during the movie doesn’t kill the vibe.)

5. Use Candles for Ambiance, Not Heat

We know, TAP Candles give off all the warm, fuzzy feels, but they aren’t a replacement for your heater. Keep burning times under 4 hours and give your candle a cooldown before relighting.

Bonus Tip: Share the holiday cheer! Candles make the perfect gift for friends, family, or yourself (because self-care is always in season).

Keep these tips in mind, and let TAP Candle Company help you light up your holidays safely. Want more tips, tricks, and behind-the-scenes fun? Stay tuned for our next blog post—because safety and style are always in season!

Happy Holidays and happy burning!
